Update 7

Stephen and I had to get a nap and some dinner sorry for the delay. Not much new to tell. The brain pressures are down, doctor says his numbers are textbook. The neurosurgeon called in a specific nurse because he didn't like any of the ones on duty. The nurse seems to be really on top of it, and we're told that he's only focusing on Jeremy. Jeremy's sedated for the night so the nurses won't be allowing him to wake up. We want him to rest and keep healing. The neurosurgeon will be in again in the morning. Keep praying. Go to bed, get some rest, and we'll post an update in the morning.

  1. So has he woken up at all? You said he won't be waking up for the night, does that mean he's been awake? Thank you so much for keeping everyone posted. Your family has been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard, I hope you all are hanging in there well. When he wakes tell him Ashley Adams says hi and she has lots praying for him over here in Idaho!!

  3. Here is what I've pieced together from what I've heard through family. I was told the area bleeding, and subsequently causing the pressure, was the area controlling the autonomic nervous system. This implies the bleeding and injury was in the vicinity of the brainstem. This is also the area that all of today's tests revealed to be working as they should. This is really encouraging news. It sounds that the area that sustained the most damage is OK. That gives us all a lot of hope that everything else will ultimately be OK as well. They want to keep Jeremy sedated through these early times because any sort of stimulation will increase the blood supply going to his brain and that will just complicate things. Once the bleeding is under control, they can bring him out of sedation and start getting a picture of the rest of the brain.

Big thanks and admiration to the entire family up there in Washington for staying strong and keeping us updated. Especially Stephen and Courtni who have been feeding us this information (both here and over the phone). You all must be exhausted. Our thoughts and prayers are with both Jeremy and you.
