July 13

Jeremy sat in the chair for about two hours again today. The guy from physical therapy asked me if his new chair had arrived (it hadn't) before we started, so I guess they are getting Jeremy different chair. When I asked about it, he said that the back will recline and his legs can stay down. The one he has now, if you lay back the legs go up. He needs more support for his feet. Jeremy is so tall, most things are not made for people his size. After they got him back to his bed, they worked with him for about another 1/2 hour on range of motion.

I think we have convinced the medical staff that Jeremy is ready for visitors. As long as Jeremy's vital signs remain low while you are visiting, you can visit. He may sleep during your whole visit, but from my perspective, it is worth it to see him even if I just watch him sleep!!! He looks great!

During the first days of Jeremy accident I came across Hebrews 11:1 in a book I was reading. It has been very helpful to me, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." True words to live by! FAITH, HOPE and we all LOVE Jeremy!!

Thank you for your prayers.

  1. its great to be able to follow jeremy's progress on here. after just coming from the hospital for my 6 week stay there, i know how good it is to have visitors. i wish i was well enough to come visit jeremy. i would be there in a second if i could. i hope his physical therapy isn't painful, though i know because of my own therapy that sometimes it can be. it's so encouraging to read jeremy's progress though. take care and keep praying. God is amazing.

  2. Thank you for keeping us updated through the blog. Tell Jeremy that I read of his progress daily, and that he is in my heart and prayers. Ann Retzlaff (a friend from Friday night bowling)
