October 19

Jeremy seems to be getting a little frustrated. From our perspective, he's making leaps and bounds but we think he might be getting a little down. The more conscious that Jeremy is of his surroundings, the more that he's going to feel his aches and pains and cramps, and probably the more bored he will be. Jeremy's going to need all the encouragement he can get from his family and friends. Maybe sometime this week would be a great time to send Jeremy a Cheer Card if you haven't recently! You can find the link on the right side of this page.

Jer's still mumbling quietly, making it hard for Debi, the family and the medical team to understand him, but improved volume will come as he re-strengthens those muscles required to speak.

Jeremy's still not eating very much, but Eric said that he did really great in physical therapy today. He was working his upper body pretty good. They had him on the tilt table at about 80 degrees, and he was lifting his upper body and sitting up.

The therapy team is going to increase the amount of time that Jeremy does occupational therapy by a half hour because they feel that he can handle the extra time. That's great news to all of us. The more therapy time the faster he should improve!

Thank you for your prayers and keep praying. If you have a chance to stop by, please do. Jeremy could use something out of his routine.
