June 30

Yesterday, at times Jeremy's vital signs were very high and we didn't know why. Last night it was very lovingly pointed out that Jeremy only has two ways to show us how he process things (since he can't talk yet). That is through his vital signs and posturing. His blood pressure is being controlled to some extent through medication. However, his pulse and breathing are a clear indicator of his tolerance level. At times, since Sunday evening his pulse and respiration have been very high, and he was posturing a lot. Bottom line? We have overstimulated him.

OK, I am humbled! When we see small positive signs, I think sometimes we want to rush forward. However, as we have been told many many times, this is a slow process. Be patient. If we want them to listen to us, we have to listen to them.

Yesterday we kept things very quiet, and we will do the same today.

Jeremy is getting better, in Jeremy's time; God's time!

Thank you for your prayers, we couldn't do this without them.
