Update 38

Jeremy's going in for his tracheotomy today at noon and his feeding tube will be put in at about 5 PM. These are both fairly routine procedures, and the doctors assure us that this is a step forward. Jeremy will have to go down to the operating room for the trach, but the PEG (a feeding tube that goes directly into his stomach) will be done in his room. The doctors want to get as many of the tubes out of his throat as possible because the irritation they cause increases his chance of infection.
