Today was another quiet day at the hospital. Jeremy seems to be feeling a little better yet in a kind of daydream-y kind of way. I think he must be saving up his energy for physical therapy in the next few days.

I talked to the doctor about his trach today, and he said we will just take our time. Eric (RT, brother) agreed. This is because the average patient gets, who knows how may, complications while in the hospital--from the hospital. Better to be safe and not rush things until Jeremy is more alert and communicative.

One thing the doctor suggested was to show Jeremy pictures. Simple pictures with 1 or 2 people in them. Today I sat and showed him pictures from Stephen & Courtni's wedding and read him some of the cards you sent him. I read them over and over, and told him about all the people who are thinking about him and praying for him. If you have pictures you would like to share with Jeremy, don't hesitate to send them. They also suggested showing him some of his favorite things. It is a little difficult showing him his bowling ball, and we definitely won't be showing him the motorcycle.
