July 16

When they got Jeremy up this morning to put him in the chair, he appeared agitated so they gave him something to relax him. The plan was to leave him up for about a half hour and then put him back to bed. Whatever they gave him usually only lasts about that long. When they came back to get him back to bed, he was so relaxed they ended up leaving him in the chair for 2 hours.

This afternoon the air conditioner at the hospital was having problems keeping up (It was a hot day in Boise). At one point it was almost 80 degrees in Jeremy's room. For someone who battles with fevers, sweating & high vital signs, it made for an interesting afternoon. We spent most of our time trying to cool him off and keep him comfortable. He does have a floor fan in his room so that helped somewhat.

We are starting to think that Jeremy is awake enough to know he is uncomfortable and knows he can't move enough to do anything about it. He seems to visibly relax when you help him move his arms and legs past the point that he is able to do himself. Almost like "boy does that feel great". Although at times that is very challenging. Even in Jeremy's current condition - he is VERY strong. No more "Jeremy squeeze my hand" to see if he will respond!

Still no talking. Imagine that :)
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Friends truly are a gift from God!
