November 20

When I got to the hospital today I heard that Jeremy spent some time on the tilt table today - playing dominoes. They like to create distractions so Jeremy doesn't concentrate on "Ouch, Ouch, Ouch" of standing for 1/2 hour. Games is the perfect thing for Jeremy.

A friend stopped by today and spent a couple of hours with Jeremy. I went shopping and they hung out and watched a movie. Jeremy relaxed and enjoyed having a friend to hang out with. After that occupational therapy came in and hooked Jeremy's right arm up to a machine that helps relax the muscles. While his right arm was hooked up to that she gave the left arm a real workout. Reach straight up 10 X, to the side 10 X, from the right shoulder out to the side 10X, and so on and so forth. Then she when to the right side and did some stretching on that side. He was so tired by the end he could hardly keep his eyes open. It is so cool to see him do almost normal things sometimes. Even if he can't do it all by himself quite yet, he is getting closer.

JEREMY IS COMING HOME FOR A FEW HOURS TOMORROW!!! He will be home from about 11:00 to 4:30. We plan to have a special "Thanksgiving" lunch and celebrate all those baby steps. Eric, Stephen and Courtni will be home to share the day with Jeremy. It will be interesting to see how Jeremy reacts to "Home". It has been a long time. We are not sure what parts of the house he can get to in his wheelchair but at least he will be here for a few hours. I hope he is OK with going back to the hospital. He has a long road ahead of him.

And "YES" we will take pictures.

Thank you for your prayers!
