December 11

Today I asked Jeremy where he was and why he was there. He said he was at the hospital to visit Stephen. OK so his memory is a little fuzzy. At least his short term memory. At the beginning of speech therapy, the therapist would show him a picture of something. It happened to be a potato. She told him that was "the word of the day" and he needed to remember it because she would ask him again later what the picture was. Ten minutes later - NOT A CLUE what the word or picture was. So many things! They all take time. At this point we are just grateful that he can say the word "potato". The memory will come in time. (I hope)

Someone told us today that now is the time to show him pictures of the accident, the motorcycle, stuff like that. We talk to him about it a lot but he doesn't remembers. As soon as we get to the Internet at the hospital we will go to the blog and he can read what we have written about the accident, see some of the earlier pictures and read your comments.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your comments to Jeremy. He is in such good spirits. He is really working hard. Several times in therapy I have heard them tell him to rest for a minute. Then they ask him if he wants to rest or keep going. He always tells them he wants to keep going. He really wants to be able to go home!

Thank you for your prayers!
