December 12

Jeremy needed this day of rest. It was a pretty quiet day today. This afternoon we found the computer in "the parlor" & sent a short E-mail to Stephen - it took about 15 minutes for him to type the 4 lines. But it was worth it to all of us. He did it himself. An occasional reminder of where the backspace key was when he made a mistake or the arrow key to go back and correct a mistake he overlooked at first. After that he was pretty tired so we went back to his room and he took about a 15 minute nap. Then he was awaken by the hustle and bustle of life and nap time was history.

We played a few games, visited with friends and family. Jeremy's cousin Angela brought an UNO game by this evening and I held the cards (I need to find a card holder for him) while he and Angela played. Every once in a while I would need to tell him "no, he couldn't play that card" but they had a good time. He did great. Actually he won. They tried to play checkers but Angela didn't know the rules and the "Jeremy rules" we think were a cross between checkers and chess. They had fun!

Jeremy has a few visitors that come every Saturday afternoon to visit him. They commented today that each week when they come they can see the changes in Jeremy. Baby steps adding up!

Thank you for your prayers!
