December 14

We have put all the cards you sent Jeremy in several small binders (for easy handling). I think by the time we get finished with all of them we will have about 6 1" binders full of just the E-cards. Someone bought him a computer bed tray. We set the binder up in front of him so he could read them. In most cases he would say "who is that". I would remind him of people I knew but some of the cards are from people who I don't know - People praying for Jeremy and wanted to tell him so. I wish I could know what was going on in his head. One of the cards said something about keeping up the good work in physical and speech therapy. He wanted to know who was they were talking about. About that time the speech therapist came and and I was able to tell him who and what they were talking about. Connecting the dots a little at a time.

It was very interesting to be able to watch or listen to speech therapy today. Today he was reading short sentences. Timing!?! He is learning that all words are not 1 syllable or that you have to put space between words. She is trying to get him to put a little inflection in his voice. At one point she told him to say "Get out of here!" He shook his head. She had to explain to him it was a sentence she wanted him to say. She realized he didn't want to be rude but she want him to try a more authoritative voice. He does a little better every day! Especially when his therapist is around! I still have to ask him to repeat himself - slowly!

Thank you for your prayers.

  1. Just wanted to let you guys know that Jameson and I are coming to visit January 22-24. Tell the physical therapist to work on the card holding and his speech therapist to work on his bluffing cause it will be time to Jeremy back into some poker!

Can't wait to see you all!
