January 8

Boise Rehab has a new physical therapy machine that Jeremy has been spending a lot of time on. Today Debi got to see him on it. What they do is push his wheelchair up to this machine and hook it to the chair. Then they hook his legs into the pedals and program the machine to 30 rotations. It does the rotations for him but allows him to push the machine harder. If Jeremy's legs spasm the machine automatically stops and restarts when the spasm is over. At the end of the allotted time, the machine has a printout that tells the therapist how many times he spasmed and how many rotations the machine went plus some other information. Today Jeremy pushed the machine 60% over the mark of 30. Yesterday he spasmed 12 times, and today it was only 6 times. Hopefully this pattern will continue and this machine will end up being a wonderful tool for Jeremy to build more muscles in his legs.

Still no word about transfer. Keep praying! Have a wonderful weekend!
