Evening Report

This day started with a visit from a new Dr. Dr. Nancy Greenwald will be visiting Jeremy each Friday. Dr. Greenwald is a doctor of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation. She is working on getting his days and nights straightened out, probably with some sort of sleeping med. Then she will try some med's that will help him express himself by helping coordinate muscle movement.

The remainder of the day Jeremy spent coughing, posturing and sleeping. He also has a slight fever again. They started him on a general antibiotic for that. They gave him some lidocaine to help with the cough. Tylenol for the fever. They are trying to back off the morphine.

They said yesterday that a good day may be followed by a not so good day. They were right. Jeremy had times when his eyes were open but he made no eye contact with us. I don't know what he was looking at.

On top of that I spent an hour talking to social services about insurance, disability, guardianship, conservatorship and any other thing they could think of. Their policy is plan for the worst and hope of the best!

Thank you for your continued prayers!!

  1. I am one of the nurses that took care of Jeremy in Yakima. Thanks for keeping us updated! This journey must be one of the hardest your family has gone through, but Jeremy is very lucky to have a family like yours! Keep taking things day by day. Jeremy is in my prayers. Take care!
