After several days of Jeremy appearing like he was having a rough day, agitated and posturing a lot, his nurse, the physical therapist and my sister Julie (who came today for a visit) all came to the conclusion that Jeremy may be in pain. The nurse got an order for pain meds and gave it to Jeremy. Julie asked how much she gave him and the nurse told her it was a "normal dose." It knocked Jeremy out for about 3 hours. We were hoping it would take the edge off, not put him to sleep. Next time, they will try 1/2 or 1/4 of that dose.

Every day Jeremy makes small steps forward in spite of the problems we mentioned above. During his awake time, we talk to him and try to work with him on accomplishing small goals. I have never known anyone to work so hard.
