September 19

Hi everyone,
Jeremy seemed pretty tired again today, but we tried to keep him awake so he'd sleep tonight. Since his night feedings have been stopped, we're having to make sure that he gets enough calories each day. When he's tired, it takes a lot longer to feed him and a lot more effort on our part.

Shortly after Stephen and I first got to the hospital, the PTs came in and stretched Jeremy out and got him in his chair for a while. Some friends from Walla Walla came to see Jeremy for an hour or so, they hadn't seen Jer since he was in Yakima. So Jeremy was a lot more responsive than the last time they'd seen him for sure. We decided to take advantage of the Jeremy being in his chair and took him outside, his first fresh air since he moved to St. Al's. While we were outside, the commander from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where Jer works stopped by. By the time we got back to Jeremy's room his lunch was there and so we spent a while feeding him.

Jeremy had a lot of visitors today. His aunt, uncle, and cousin stopped by again today, and he also had a special visit from Nathan Lehman and his parents. Nathan was a friend of Jeremy's and was in a motorcycle accident about a month before Jeremy (http://team-nathan.com/). Nathan's doing well now, and it was so great to be able to talk to someone who has been through what Jeremy has.

Jeremy also got a visit from the pastor and his wife so it was a full and busy day of eating and visiting!

Thank you for your prayers!
